Made 16 tackles in the 1936 game against Gonzaga.
Was often on the field for every minute of the game, handling both offensive and defensive lineman duties.
Also applied his strength in the spring season for shot put on the track team.
Spent his first professional season with the Chicago Cardinals, and concluded his NFL career playing the 1939-1941 seasons with the Cleveland Rams
After his professional career, moved back to Oakland, and lent his talents to a wide variety of civic and charitable causes.
