  • Arrived at the University as the Oregon State Amateur Junior Champion
  • Began his freshman year undefeated for a team that went 17-2
  • In 1959, he began his career as a teaching professional and started winning all sorts of titles: the Oregon Open (1964), the Pacific Northwest PGA (1974), the Oregon PGA (five times), and the U.S. Open Seniors Association Title (1991)
  • Played full time for the PGA tour in 1964 and 1965 and part time in 1967 and 1968 and has played in both the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship
  • Won the Northwest Golf Professional of the Year (four times) and the National PGA Golf Professional of the Year (1984)
  • President of the Oregon and Pacific Northwest PGA's, Director of the Pacific Northwest PGA Tournament for 15 years, and as a instructor, helped the 1985 Pilot golf team win its first WCC title
