  • Won 67 of 70 singles matches and 68 of 70 doubles matches
  • For three years he and fellow Hall of Famer Jack Neer were an unbeatable doubles combination, winning 56 consecutive matches
  • In his final two years of singles competition he won 40 consecutive matches and was instrumental in the Pilots tennis team winning 60 consecutive dual matches
  • As a freshman he made it all the way to the semi-finals of the NAIA national tournament
  • In 1954 he qualified for the NCAA national tournament
  • Played on the Pilots basketball team
  • Held the position of Director of Tennis for the Portland Parks Bureau
  • Awarded the "Community Service Award" in 1985 from the United States Tennis Association
  • Awarded the "Merit Award" in 1990 from the Oregonian's Banquet of Champions
